This is a great image, A. Did you do this in the reduction method or is it multiple blocks for each color. The detail surely must have been a headache machine and an eyeball twister! Very well done.
Qualities texture or detail pointed out by Kerry, Maggie, Detlef, Knottydon, and JS, is what this experiment was all about. Needed something that required focus for a long period of time. Sketches of outgoing local Postie Girl with very short, but fabulous patterned scalp became reserved, deprived, suffering person. Pain helped with the lonely withdrawn outcome.
Bit of an eyeball twister Mick, and have bad cutting technique where I tend to sand fingertips and side of hand raw. Although not felt during process, if left for a day, would have to wait a few days before continuing. One reason why a reduction print never crossed my mind for this one! It would certainly be a challenge with the block at a later date when in the mood :( Likewise, multiple blocks would require great registration and extra trips to the printer. Unfortunately was immobile and edition was simply hand painted. Did however manage pulling the prints once each whilst sitting on a chair! Not to be tried again in a hurry. Would take eminent skill to successfully accomplish the two methods questioned, plus no pain or immobility involved.
Greetings from another Aussie IF'er. This is very different from anything I have seen on any of these challenges. I am amazed by the fine detail of your work. It achieves an incredible effect. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, what to say that hasn't already said. Can't think of a darn thing. The detail, texture and colors are amazing. The mood is so complex. Wow. Plain and simple. Wow. :)
